What is extrusion laminate and how is it produced?
Laminate extrusion is a conversion process that allows the base material to be combined with other materials. These materials can be plastic, paper, cardboard or aluminum foils.
This composite material has very advanced physical properties and good protective performance. During the paper or fabric lamination process, the thermoplastic resin is melted from a horizontal slot on the moving grid of the base material.
The obtained product is a network structure with a permanent cover. The extrusion laminate process is almost the same as extrusion coating, where the resin is extruded between two layers and acts as a bonding agent.
